About Menstrucate

About Us
Project Menstrucate was founded by Pia Vashi, a current medical student in the United Kingdom. While leading a workshop for girls with special needs during her earlier environmental work, Pia recognised a striking gap in menstrual health awareness, particularly among underprivileged and marginalised communities. Determined to turn insight into action, she founded Project Menstrucate, a long-term initiative tackling period stigma, poverty and education.
Project Menstrucate has collaborated with a variety of organisations, including primary schools in Birmingham, Birmingham and Solihull Women's Aid, CREDAI, Radisson and more. This network allows us to benefit vulnerable women in multiple cities, equipping them with medically accurate knowledge and practical advice on menstruation and distribution of free reusable menstrual pads.

Our Mission
To mobilise destigmatised conversation around periods and promote accessibility to safe menstrual products and medically accurate information through distribution of dignity kits and delivery of in-person educational sessions
Our Vision
We envision a world where every menstruator can manage their periods safely, sustainably and with dignity
